One of the best parts of the whole day was seeing all of the items that people brought to put in Camryn's time capsule. We requested in the invitations that our guests bring an item for a time capsule (rather than a traditional gift) so that we could build the birthday girl a group-gift that would have great meaning down the road. I never imagined that our friends and family would be so creative! Some wrote letters to Camryn, some brought captioned pictures of themselves, we got grocery receipts, magazines, a newspaper, and a compilation of Jane Austen classics. Items from Nana and Papa's own "time capsules" like a doll that was in Andy's crib during his hospital stay as a baby (he was born 9 weeks early) and Nana's bronzed baby shoes. We got a currently in-style outfit, a 2010 Almanac, and several keepsake items. And so much more. There are a couple of items en-route and once we receive them, I will seal the time capsule. We voted at the party on when she will get to open it...16, 21, or 30. 21 was the winner, so it will be sealed for the next 20 years. Amazing. I hope she loves it.

Camryn went to sleep at 6:15 pm after the party and didn't wake up until 8am the next morning...she was completely wiped out! Poor thing! She continues to grow like a weed...she is getting steadier walking, and starting to say words...yes WORDS! She has been saying DaDa very clearly for a few weeks, says Mama (really only when she is mad though), barks like a dog and meows like a cat. But now she also says Papa, and yesterday she started saying Baby. She says baby more clearly than any other word, it is so adorable! She points to babies in her books and holds her babydoll and says "Baby" as clear as day. I think she is catching on to the concept of language, I can't wait to see what comes out of her mouth next!
As for me, I am starting to get more energy and feel like a normal person again. Mark June 10th on your calendars, it is the day that we have our next ultrasound, and will hopefully find out that we have a healthy baby growing and if it is a boy or a girl. Place your bets now, less than 6 weeks left until we find out and time is flying by. This is my daily update from pregnancyweekly.com:
This is day number 88 and you're 12 weeks pregnant!
You have 192 days or 27 weeks left, and are 31.4% of the way there.
Almost 1/3 of the way done with this pregnancy?!?! Like I said, time is FLYING.
