Christmas 2010

This was a great Christmas! I will admit, it took Andy and I forever to get into the Christmas spirit this year. I have been beyond busy in my post-partum, sleep deprived state, we have been plagued with sickness, and put life on hold for a few days due to an unexpected hospital stay with Carson. I was dreading the tasks of taking out the Christmas decorations, shopping amidst the crowds with two kids, and cooking for the holiday. Andy and I both agreed, though, that we needed to get ourselves together and do it for Camryn and Carson. I am so glad we did....it turned out to be so much fun! We went shopping, dealt with the traffic, and let Camryn run around Target and the mall like a wild woman. We took a road trip to Virginia to visit Amy, Rafe, and the boys and celebrate Christmas. We finally decorated the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, Camryn quickly became a present-opening professional, and was thrilled to open tons of new toys. Brenda and Steve came over for the afternoon and dinner. We ate Jambalaya and cupcakes...I mean, nothing says "Christmas" like Jambalaya, right? It was really good though. And then, on Christmas night, it snowed! So we spent the next day enjoying a gorgeous snowfall.

I took a ton of pictures this year, way too many to post. Here are some of my favorites:

Andy is on vacation this week, and we are taking some time to relax and enjoy our little family. It is hard to believe that this time last year we had no idea that we would be a family of four! How lucky are we? The outside temperature is supposed to approach 60 degrees by the end of the week, so we are looking forward to spending some time outside.
