Happy 80th Birthday Grandad!

Camryn and I made a quick trip up to CT this past weekend to celebrate Grandad's 80th birthday with the family. Camryn got to meet her Great Aunts (Colleen and Kathy), as well as some of her second cousins (Lindsay, JT, Kaitlyn, and Zack)...and boy did she love them! She was babbling away and giving everyone smiles all weekend. Here are some pictures from the trip:

I began training this week for the City of Oaks Half Marathon on November 1st. It is right here in Raleigh, which makes it very convenient. I ran this race two years ago, and went last year to cheer on the runners (I was pregnant with Camryn so I didn't run). My goal this time will be to complete the race in under 2 hours, as I came very close to this the last time. It has been quite warm here, but I have got to get the road time in despite the weather. Camryn is a good sport about braving the heat with me:

And a fun one from this week:

Other news for the week: Camryn ate some pears last night and LOVED them. She has also had some peaches in the mesh feeder in the past couple of days, though I think they were a little sour tasting for her. I will take some pictures and post them soon... she just loves to stick her hands in her mouth WITH the food, and try to grab the spoon. Until next time... <3
