1.) Poor little Camryn has been sick! Two Fridays ago she was up half the night, and we could not figure out what was wrong. It is very unlike her to wake up at all during the night. She wanted to be with Andy and me, so we let her stay in bed with us from about 2am on. She fell asleep in the middle of the bed and we all finally ended up sleeping from about 3am to 5am. The next day was a loooong day to say the least! She woke up with a runny nose and fever and was clearly not feeling well at all. So sad! When the cold had not gone away by Wednesday, I took her to the doctor, who said she had started to develop a sinus infection and ear infection. She is taking antibiotics now, and doing MUCH better.
2.) Carson has turned from head down back to transverse and then back to head down again within the past couple of weeks. I think he is head down now, and I am hoping he stays that way for good! I have another appointment on Wednesday, so we will see what they say. He is kicking me, punching me, and whatever else he can figure out to do in there...so much that it feels like he might bust me right open some days. Camryn was active too, but little Carson is taking it to a whole new level. 25 days to go...
3.) We went to the park this weekend and Camryn had so much fun! We were cooped up for the better part of the last couple of weeks due to her being sick (I did not want to expose any other kids to her cold), meaning we did not get out to the park like usual. The weather was beautiful, and we all enjoyed the fresh air.

4.) We have started painting our downstairs...FINALLY! Before we moved in to our house, it was painted all one color. As in, every.single.room in the entire house is the same light beige color. I can see from small spots that were missed during that painting that there were some pretty wild colors in here (orange kitchen and dining room, yellow bathroom, lime green trim in the bonus room, etc). As glad as I am that we were given a blank canvas to start with rather than the wild colors, I have been anxious to put our own spin on things with paint in this place. We have finished painting the dining room, and hope to get the living room and kitchen done before Carson's arrival. We also have our replacement light fixture for the dining room in the garage...Andy plans to install it this week.
5.) Last Friday, Camryn and I went to a lunch for our playgroup. I was humbled and shocked to find out upon my arrival that it was a surprise luncheon baby shower for me! I was greeted by several of my mommy friends, flowers, a cake, and a gifts! HOW SWEET IS THAT?! There is nothing like people making you feel special when you are in your last month of pregnancy, feeling huge and tired, and just trying to make it through each day. Our server was friendly but slow (at least for a group of women entertaining babies and toddlers while trying to eat), so I took the cake home with me. Also, since it was a surprise, I did not have a camera! So, here are pictures of my flowers and cake I took when I got home:
6.) We went to a Halloween party today...here is a preview of Camryn's costume for this year:
Last but not least, a "self portrait" Camryn and I took of ourselves lounging around last Friday afternoon: <3 my girl!

On the agenda for this week is a mini photo shoot for Camryn, the "blinds" guy coming to measure for and install new blinds in the house, a trip to the N.C. Museum of Natural Science, and my birthday...woo hoo! Have a wonderful week, and love to all!
